NOTE: Due to the pandemic, we are slowly returning to regular, ongoing projects; however, pre-COVID, most Saturdays we were working on a build or rebuild in the Chicago Southland. Please check our Facebook Events or email us for our current work site.

Mrs. Z (homeowner) on Operation Nehemiah's Service to Her Family

Dear Operation Nehemiah,
I want to give you thanks for fixing my house. If it would not have been for you guys, my kids would still be cold. God bless you always. Also, I hope God blesses you with work and health. I do not have enough words to tell you how much you guys have done. Thanks to you my son does not get pneumonia as often as he used to, due to the wind that would have been getting in our house through the old door and old windows. (He and his brother) are very thankful to God because he put you in their way. I appreciate you with all my heart for what you did for my kids. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Mrs. Z.

World Renew

Our volunteers range from skilled tradespeople to people who just want to lend a hand and assist with the less technical aspects of renovation and construction. All are welcome!  (Under 18 are welcome to serve alongside a parent/guardian.)

Hands of Hope

Operation Nehemiah desires to partner with "in need" non-profit organizations and churches on building and rebuilding projects that will help transform the lives of the people they serve as we all work together in Jesus' name.

Lamb's Fold

Since 2010, Operation Nehemiah has been partnering with individuals, churches and area non-profits, working to rebuild broken walls and broken lives. Our volunteers have a mind to work. Do you?

"For we rebuilt the wall...because the people had a mind to work." Nehemiah 4:6

Kathy T. on her Operation Nehemiah Experience in Brookport

"When I went to Brookport, I didn't know what to expect. I just wanted to be Jesus' hands. When I saw how all these groups pulled together rebuilding homes for people they didn't know, it was heartwarming. As we worked, some of the (homeowners) would come out and talk to us. It was then that I realized how much was lost and that what we were doing was being Jesus' hands." (Kathy spent the week laying rebar in sewer trenches as part of a tornado disaster relief team.)
